Why do I need to book a time slot?
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience at The Rutland Big Christmas Market, we ask you to book an arrival time slot in advance. Arriving within 30 minutes of your designated slot helps minimise queues. Once you’re here, you can enjoy the festive atmosphere for as long as you like.

What is an 'Undecided' ticket?
Our 'Undecided Tickets' offer you the freedom to visit The Rutland Big Christmas Market on any one day or at any time slot that suits you. Simply choose the day and time that works best for you during the event. Please note: 'Undecided Tickets' are valid for one-time use only. These tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Availability is limited, so grab yours soon!

Is parking free?
Yes, we offer free parking for all ticket holders. Limited spaces are available at The Barnsdale Hotel, including designated disabled bays. Most event parking is at Rutland Water Car Park (Address: Exton, Oakham LE15 8BL), which is also free for ticket holders. A shuttle bus will run every 15 minutes to the event.

How often and where will your shuttle bus run from?
Our shuttle bus service runs from the Rutland Water Car Park (Address: Exton, Oakham LE15 8BL), starting 15 minutes before the event and continuing every 15 minutes. The last bus departs 10 minutes after the event ends. The fully wheelchair-friendly double-decker bus ensures a smooth journey to and from the event.

 

Will Santa Claus be visiting the market?
Yes, Santa Claus will be making special appearances at the market on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, we suggest you take this into consideration when choosing your tickets. Visiting Santa is FREE, though donations are gratefully accepted to The Lions Club of Rutland CIO.

 

Can I get a refund?

All tickets are non-refundable. If you're uncertain about your visit date or time, consider purchasing an 'Undecided Flexible Day Ticket.' This ticket allows you to choose any day and time that suits you. Please note that 'Undecided Flexible Day Tickets' are available in limited quantities.

 

Is the event accessible?
The market is on flat terrain, but some areas feature grassy spots and cobbled paths that may be uneven. Designated disabled parking bays are available (please request a disabled space when booking). Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are located in The Events Barn and The Barnsdale Hotel’s main building.

 

Is the event suitable for prams and buggies?
Prams and buggies are welcome, though the market can get quite busy. We recommend considering this when planning your visit. Baby changing facilities are available in The Events Barn and The Barnsdale Hotel’s main building.

 

Can I bring my dog?
We’re happy to welcome your furry friends to The Rutland Big Christmas Market. For everyone’s safety and comfort, please keep your dog on a lead at all times. Please be aware: The market can get quite busy. You’ll be responsible for any damage or fouling caused by your dog.

 

Will cash be accepted by stall holders?
Cash acceptance varies by the stall holder, so it’s a good idea to come prepared.
